CREAMY WHITES
02.07.2009

The red rose whispers of passion,
And the white rose breathes of love;
O, the red rose is a falcon,
And the white rose is a dove.

But I send you a cream-white rosebud
With a flush on its petal tips;
For the love that is purest and sweetest
Has a kiss of desire on the lips.

 XOXO...

YOUR WEDDING...A BEST SELLING NOVEL
25.06.2009

Hello friends!!  We hope you are enjoying your week and finding new ways to celebrate the miracles of life....there are so many.  This week for us we have had many joy-filled moments and pleasures come our way....we can't wait to tell you about them...but will have to wait just a little bit before we can.  We wish that all of you could join us on this incredible journey...but we trust that you too are on a life path of discovery and adventure.  Please tell us about it!!  Email us or find us on Facebook.  It is so fun to hear from you!  I (Annette) am on my way to visit my grandmother in Michigan who is in the hospital and ready to face her eternal destination any moment....she is 96 and very ready for it.  I thank God for the heritage she left me...the tenacious godly example she has given me is priceless.  Your prayers are appreciated throughout this weekend!

Just a little thought for the week....When you are selecting your photographer be sure that he/she has a wealth of experience in ALL types of photography 'styles'.  They should be a photojournalist...a fashion expert....a traditional portrait artist....an inventive story teller and more! Next week I'll share WHY this is so important but for now think of it as layers of story.  The more layers you have the more transcendent.  It is like comparing a novel to a phone book.  Look for a photographer who is a novel expert.  It must include detailed information, truth, emotion, beauty, story, narratives, documentation, inventions, and desire.  My friends, be picky!!

I'll leave you with these images from the cobble streets of Trestevere, Italy.  See you next week!!

~Annette

THE DESIGNERS BEHIND OUR IMAGES
17.06.2009

A few months ago you might remember our Fairy Meadow Shoot with Holly Clinard....it was one of our most fun fashion shoots we have done....and I have to say that it was because of the collective talents of all who were involved that it was a success.  For the most part it was our scene stylist, Olivia Hales and Daniel Herring that made it possible to capture happy little fairies among beautiful romantic scenes in the meadow.  Too often the scene stylist goes unmentioned and it becomes a thankless job.  This is true too, in respect to the many fabulous wedding/event planners and designers.

All of us at TripleCord would like to express our gratitude by first recognizing that our images would not have a chance at excelling without the labour intensive talents of our event designers and scene stylists.  At a recent wedding designed by Kimberly Bradford, we found our hearts beating harder with every new discovery from the pre-wedding celebrations happening on the lawn of a glorious mansion in Beverly Hills, all the way through to the midnight snacks greeting us as we waved goodbye.  Every detail was carefully executed to perfection.  The couple received a dream beyond their own imaginations. Our talents were free to excel and surpass the ordinary.

Kimberly Bradford shared with me before the wedding some of the details and I remember thinking she has so much experience and vision that she can literally read the bride's heart/mind.  The bride had a very specific feel and atmosphere that she was trying to implement.  Kimberly carefully put every detail within her control, into fruition.  The outcome?   An unforgettable transcendent day with or without the imagery we captured.  The pictures then became the ushers to our memories enabling us to re-live the emotion and wonder of a perfect day.

Kimberly beautifully merged the bride's elegant all-white-wedding dream with the groom's colorful likes through creative reception lighting. Every 15 minute's a new ambiance of color danced throughout the entire room. There were endless ideas implemented at this wedding without the space to tell you about all of them. Please call her if you would like more information at (949) 515-8900.

We can't express enough the importance of choosing your designer with careful scrutiny. We would be happy to help you get started by recommending some of our favorites. Just call our studio at (949) 481-1345 and ask for me, Annette.

MY OBSESSION WITH CARLO PIGNATELLI
16.06.2009

I am sure that you can tell I am obsessed with Carlo Pignatelli wedding gowns.  When CP presented us with their five selections for our Italy fashion shoot, model Olivia Hales and I gasped for air.....we stood speechless for several moments, no kidding!  Colin was busy being fitted for the tuxedos in the other room equally impressed.  We found it hard to leave Carlo Pignatelli's beautiful Rome showroom however, their friendly staff kindly pushed us out the door anticipating Christmas vacation just one day away.  Of the five we photographed, this one afforded us the most opportunity for dramatic impressions.  We spent so much time with it that we lost daylight and only had about 20 minutes with the beautiful dress from my previous post.

We can not stress enough how important the dress is in communicating your personality and style on your wedding day.  This was Olivia's first wedding shoot and together we learned so much about the dress selection process.  Before we left for Italy we visited a few boutiques here in Orange County and gained so much wisdom through our struggles and obstacles.  I'll be sharing some of our discoveries and some advice from a California designer in my future posts.  You can see more of this amazing dress on our website in the wedding gallery.

 Happy Wedding Gown shopping!!

Dominoe Imus:That dress is stunning!!  But I stand by the conviction that the photography is the most important part (I guess I´m a little biased...) (06/17/09, 05:32)
Annette:Anne...yes it was the Villa Borghese.  If I could be you, I would visit at least once a week...possibly read a book on a bench near the pond.  Anne!!! I am becoming jealous of you just thinking of it..."Jealousy is an oddly wrapped gift that points the way toward where we must go." ~SARK   Welcome Dantel....nice to have you here! (06/17/09, 11:08)
dantel:Nice blogging. I bookmarked your site (06/17/09, 11:03)
Anne Clinard:Amazing!!! What an incredible opportunity. We\´ve loved living here in Rome - it is such a magical city. I can only imagine how exciting it must have been from a photographer\´s perspective - what a backdrop - wow! Was the above pic taken at the Borghese Villa Gardens by any chance? It looks familiar... so beautiful. Congrats on such beautiful work, Annette! (06/17/09, 11:03)

ITALIAN GARDEN WEDDING
12.06.2009

The gardens, the "green lung of Rome", are considered the city's most important green space and stretch across 80 hectares, enjoying some spectacular views in key points.

The English garden landscape is what strikes you when you enter for the first time. There are many beautiful items worthwhile noticing: the Italian gardens near the Casino Borghese; avenues and paths embellished by statues and fountains; the Garden of the Lake, thus called because it stretches around an artificial lake, with emperor Settimio Severo arch and Asclepius temple.

There can hardly be a more romantic spot for taking a stroll or for a Symbolic ceremony. The "Lake Garden" was used to site the Borghese family's historic collection of ancient art. Following restoration, the historic tree-lined walkways are open once more, complete with new lawns and flowerbeds, a landscape of trees, shrubs and herbaceous borders. An English-style cast-iron pergola frames the lake, just as it was at the beginning of the 1900s. Delightful rockeries of tufa rock line the banks of the old stream that feeds the lake.   ~Italian Weddings.com
