January 22nd, 2008 -------------------------------------------------------------------- TripleCord in Texas!
Colin and I headed for San Antonio, Texas last weekend for Tana Klemcke and Jason Trottie's wedding. We love it when we have the oportunity to photograph kindred spirits....Tana an advocate for Africa's children and Jason a strong mission driven dreamer, stole our hearts instantly. It was hard not to get wrapped up in the emotion of the day but Tana and Jason kept us laughing and celebrating right along with them.
Congratulations Tana and Jason! ~Annette We'll post more on our new blog as soon as it is up. Stay tuned!

November 27th, 2007 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Tim Davis Christmas CD
We cannot say enough about the talent and heart of Tim Davis. All of us have heard his amazing voice visiting Disneyland, watching TV, or going to the movies. It seems we have all waited too long to be able to turn on his voice with the click of a switch and now with his CD, Christmas Dreaming, our wishes have been granted and surpassed!! Christmas Dreaming is "reminiscent of favorite Christmas records of yesteryear...it will help [us] escape the frantic pace of the season, and experience the peace and warmth that Christmas was meant to bring." Tim and his beautiful wife Melody have welcomed two of the TripleCord photographers, Colin and Andrew, into their home and hearts over and again. They have been in many ways the hands, feet and encouraging voice of God. For that we are truly forever grateful. You can go right now and buy the CD by clicking HERE and then join us next week for Tim's amazing voice live at the Saddleback Church's Christmas Concert December 5th and 6th at 7pm. Hope to see you there! ~Annette

November 21st, 2007 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Jacob and Lindsay
We finally did it! After many weeks of hopeful planning, scheduling issues, nose-scraping accidents, and other little surprises, Jake and Lindsay had to jump hundreds of times, be soaked by freezing water, get kicked out of a Montage restroom, experience gale force winds from a wild leaf blower, and cram into a nasty smelling telephone booth. Even though it may sound like a horrible, disaster-full day, it could have quite possibly been the most fun I've had in a while.
Jake and Lindsay are getting married up in Oregon this June after spending nearly their entire college careers at Biola University together. Jake is a wing commander in the United States Air Force and Lindsay is basically a Nordstrom corporate extraordinaire (if you met her, that would not be a surprise to you: she is 100% class). Being in several courses with Lindsay this year and having many fond memories of old school projects with Jake several years back, this shoot let me get to know the two of them beyond balancing finances and researching marketing objectives.
The one thing that stands out in Jake and Lindsay above their love for one another is their total dependence on God for their relationship to work. When Jake asked Lindsay to marry him, they were on vacation with his family on the beach just steps away from the warm crystal clear waters of Hawaii at the Ko Olina Resort. Right after a tearful proposal, Jake asked if he could wash Lindsay's feet - living the example that Jesus Christ showed his apostles the night before he was crucified (John 13:6-11). In an act of humility and love, Jesus, who is fully God and by all means should be the most exalted, did the work of a lowly servant. Love so deep was displayed through an abdication of exalted stature and an acceptance of humble servanthood. Even though Jake, as the husband, has the authority and leadership in the relationship, he is to "love [his] wife like Christ loved the church" -even unto death (Ephesians 5:25). Service is the essence of godly leadership and Jake understands this well. After washing her feet, he read Proverbs 31 to her (the chapter about a what a godly wife looks like) as they committed their lives to eachother. I am so honored to have these two friends who truly desire understand what love is supposed to look like. Jake and Lindsay, you two were a total joy to photograph and spend the day with. Thanks so much for putting up with my crazy ideas and for laughing all the way through it. It is an honor to hear and share your love story. I love you guys. -Andrew

November 20th, 2007 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Olivia Hales
Olivia Hales is my FAVORITE person in all the world to photograph besides my own kids and her sister, Chelsea. We always laugh about so much and today did I ever give her something to laugh about. I broke a fence while sitting on it and took a comical fall to the ground. I assured them that it couldn't have been my weight but that it was the fault of the age old rotted wood....Jimmy, Olivia's boyfriend, nicely agreed with me. God loves him, I am sure! We were especially blessed by Jimmy's assistance when we found out that he gave up surfing for the adventure. Wow! He is surely one of God's favorites. Thank you again Olivia, for making TripleCord's website so pleasant to look at! We are so honored to have you as a regular model but most of all we are so grateful for your friendship. ~Annette

November 5th, 2007 -------------------------------------------------------------------- The Hughitt Family
Jay and Anne Hughitt kindly supported the Mwangaza Children's Choir last summer during the choir's concert in Ladera Ranch and won a family portrait sitting. They have two adorable daughters, Hannah and Lucy. The girls jumped and ran tirelessly for my lens and all of our entertainment. Anne and Jay, it's always a joy to meet another great Ladera Ranch family! Thank you for your support of orphaned African children. We appreciate you! Annette Biggers

October 30th, 2007 -------------------------------------------------------------------- TripleCord on FOX LA
Hello friends! TripleCord has been nominated for best business on Fox LA's Hot List. We would highly appreciate your vote and you can do this by clicking here. We appreciate all of you so much! On another note, we have been going through The Purpose Driven Life at our church and It is a book I recommend for everyone to go through with family, friends or business colleagues. Everyone at TripleCord has read this book and I thought it might not have such an impact on me as the first time, but I am finding that I was SO wrong. Every day's reading offers something for me to really think and reflect about. I love how Rick Warren has the gift of what I call, "sticky messages". They stick to my heart and I tend to think about them all week long. Here's something to think about.... "The more we let God take us over, the more truly ourselves we become--because he made us. He invented all the different people that you and I were intended to be....It is when I turn to Christ, when I give myself to His personality, that I first begin to have a real personality of my own." --CS Lewis (PDL page 80) The message at Saddleback church this past weekend was amazing. If you can log onto Saddleback church and listen to it, you will be blessed so much. Kenneth Blanchard gave his testimony in which was only a few days old--he lost his entire home last week in the fires. I could hardly believe he was able to talk about it after only a few days of it happening. He was truly filled with God's Spirit and he deeply impacted our entire church. I walked away with lumps in my throat and an unexplainable hope and peace. If you can, please listen to this message by going to Saddleback Church's website and clicking on "Live and Archived Messages". Have a wonderful day, friends! ~Annette

Jessie and Clint were married on the 6th of October at the Dove Canyon Golf Club. We had a lot of fun with this lively bunch! They had a beautiful ceremony overlooking the golf course painted in purple hydrangeas and green orchids by Tricia Barr. To see their slideshow click here. Thank you Jessie and Clint for the honor of telling your wonderful story through our images. We had a great time with you and your families and look forward to your return from Thailand! October 10th, 2007 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Magazine Photo Shoot
When Sarah McGhehey and Kelli Lain, the owners of a new exciting magazine, asked us to do this shoot we were so excited not only because we got to hang out with these ultra fun people again but we also got to bring our own model. Jeanette, in Annie's words, "is a strong stamp of goodness and sweetness on the world". We took her agent, also my friend, Lynnda Owens, and laughed for 3 hours straight. Jeanette's entourage applied make-up, drove her to her locations in a cadillac, and protected her from the paparazzi (see picture below). Annie and I had all of this fun on top of an apartment/commercial building in Hollywood. Thanks to Steve and Steve, the owners of Iron Army Clothing Co., for building the set and dragging it to multiple locations on the rooftop. And many thanks to Charlotta for another fabulous style job. You are all so talented, fun, spontaneous, etc.... and we look forward to working with you again! ~Annette

October 4th, 2007 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Generous Donations from Irvine Presbyterian Church
I had been so excited all week knowing that Anne Nguyen and Amy Nissen were coming for a visit. These two amazing women had worked so hard the past 4 weeks raising awareness of Africa's needs and collecting cameras for the newest Kenyan and Ugandan entrepreneurs. Thanks to the many wonderful people of Irivine Presbyterian Church, we now have 20 cameras to send to our friends in Africa. Anne and Amy brought the fabulous Margie, Betsy and their cute mom Elise. We had so much to share with one another as God is working his miracles everywhere we look! We ended our time together with prayer for the organization and my heart was left again filled with joy as I waved goodbye to these five extraordinary women of God. Anne, Amy, Margie and Betsy, every time you visit I feel like God visited me! Thank you for your sweet generosity of kindness. I am praying that God will do immeasurably more than all you ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within [you]. Ephesians 3:20 With love and gratitude, Annette If you would like to learn more about Heart 4 Africa and how you can donate go to the Photographers for Africa website.

September 19th, 2007 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome Baby Alexa!
It seems like forever that our family waited to see my adorable brother become the nurturing father we always knew he would be! And now that it's here we keep pinching ourselves....."Jeff is a daddy!" We knew last fall when Jeff married Bethany that he was not only getting a tremendous partner in life but also the perfect mother for their children. Together they are going to make a happy home for their little one. Beautiful Alexa Bailey arrived on August 30th with 25 people in the waiting room anticipating the first glance of her. Jeff made his first-time-daddy debut with tear-filled eyes and a video camera in hand presenting the newest princess of the Briney and Hammond families. She was absolutely adorable. We can hardly wait to get to know her as she grows into the sweet angel we all know she will be. Jeff and Bethany, Congratulations to the worlds newest best parents! ~Annette

September 11th, 2007 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Kelly Haney and Victor Collier
Kelly Haney was one of my first-borns. I had her when I was 10 years old. Well, not exactly.....I met her when her and her twin sister Korine, were 3 days old and from that day until late high school I thought of her as my own child. Her mother, Jane became one of my best friends when she delivered the news that I could take care of the twins while she did some grocery shopping. A few years later Kimmie joined our little clique and quickly became another reason for all of us to smile whenever the name 'Haney' was mentioned. The entire neighborhood loved the Haney girls. They just knew how to cheer anyone up with their adorable small voices or ballet twirls. You can imagine the emotion I felt when Kelly called to ask me to photograph her wedding. "Pay me?" That would be like charging one of my own kids! When I arrived on Friday to the rehearsal dinner she presented me with a beautiful blue box, (you know the one we all secretly wish were ours) and I could tell that she had put the kind of thought into this gift that comes from a strong bond. It was truly sweet and I was escorted back to some of my fondest childhood memories of the family that had become some of my closest friends through their kindness. When Kelly introduced me to the groom, Victor Collier, I was not surprised to see a man with a strong gentle confidence. I knew that he had to be special and special was an understatement. Victor is exactly the kind of man I would have picked for Kelly. He matches her tender heart and sincerity. I did happen to notice that he will also be able to provide Kelly with a good gene pool. Their children will be beeea-u-ti-ful! The wedding was at Castleton Methodist Church with the elegant reception in Carmel, Indiana at the Ritz Charles. The night ended with hugs and tears. Kelly's father gave me a long hug and whispered, "Why do these moments have to be so short?" I loaded my equipment and cried as I drove to my in-laws for a night of rest and contemplation. Kelly, Victor, Korine, Kimmie, Greg and Jane, I hope that you will love the images of your amazing family celebrating and doing what you do best, loving. I surely enjoyed every moment. Here are a few of the highlights. Enjoy! With Love, Annette

August 28th, 2007 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Fashion Shoot in LA
TripleCord has had the wonderful opportunity to work with two ultra-talented women, Sarah McGhehey and Kelli Lane. They are launching a fabulous magazine in 2008 for women ages 18-30. Last night as I read through their proposals and column descriptions, I was disappointed that I couldn't go and buy the magazine right then! It is going to be HOT! And dare I say, "Watch out Glamour, Elle and Cosmo you have some stiff competition coming your way!" Being just a little (wink, wink) over the intended age market, I must say that when you have a product offering timeless classic pure beauty as Sarah and Kelli propose, it will prove to be ageless as well. All age groups will be able to find a comforting childlike dream among its pages; a soothing feast for their feminine soul. Andrew, Annie and I went up to LA last week for one of the magazine's debut photo shoots. Thanks to the makeup artist and stylist for creating some awesome looks. And many thanks to the sweet models who made our job seem effortless. TripleCord will announce the magazine launch in the near future. Stay tuned! ~Annette Biggers

August 25th, 2007 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Stephanie and Jadon Lavik are Having a Baby!
This morning I received a text message from Jadon stating that their baby boy is going to be born today! Last week when I photographed them in their nursery, Stephanie had already gone a week over her due date and you must be thinking what I thought....'she does NOT look 9 months pregnant'. I was sure that they had the due date wrong. She even jumped on the bed with Jadon and threw pillows at him for a few fun photos in which I thought would certainly put her into labor. The story behind the name they chose is quite a sweet one. Jadon's grandmother lost her only son in which would carry on the family name, Laird. Jadon's mother gave the name to him for his middle name and he now is passing it on to his son. Laird will begin life with a family farm and street bearing his name as well. Jadon has been busy recording his 3rd CD and Stephanie has been building her Wedding planning business while moving into their new beautiful home. I can't wait to see the excitement on their faces and the added joy between them when I get to return for newborn photos! Congratulations to both of you! ~Annette Biggers
